Highlights

The Fiesta Sports Foundation is accepting applications for its 11th annual Wishes for Teachers program, which will distribute a record $1.75 million to Arizona classrooms and schools in 2026-27, up from $1.5 million the prior year.

Five hundred Arizona K-12 public and charter school teachers are eligible for $2,500 grants to fund a classroom wish. Applications are open through Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at 10 p.m. MST at WishesForTeachers.org. Past grants have covered robotics kits, musical instruments, adaptive learning tools, classroom libraries and athletic gear.

The record total is bolstered by an expanded School Wishes component, now in its second year. Six Arizona schools will receive campus-level grants: five at $50,000 each and one at $250,000. Corporate backers include Amazon, the College Football Playoff Foundation and The John Dawson Foundation.

Since launching in 2016, the program has awarded more than $9.7 million to more than 3,100 educators, reaching more than one million students statewide. In 2025, grants reached educators in 119 cities and towns across 142 school districts, supporting more than 276,000 students.

All recipients will be announced at Wishes for Teachers Draft Day presented by SRP on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
