SCOTTSDALE. Mikhaila Fuller, born Mikhaila Peterson, has quietly become part of Scottsdale.

The co-founder of Peterson Academy, the online university she launched with her father, the psychologist and author Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, has settled in the Valley with her husband, Jordan Fuller. The couple is expecting their fourth child this summer.

The move coincides with a period of rapid growth for the company. Peterson Academy, which offers a long-form video curriculum taught by scholars across the humanities, sciences, and business, has crossed 50,000 enrolled students. Its new headquarters is here in Scottsdale.

Peterson Academy sits in an unusual category. It is not a traditional university, but its ambition is on that scale: a comprehensive filmed curriculum, delivered to a paying membership, and taught by a curated roster of professors and public intellectuals. Students who enroll gain access to the full library for a flat annual fee.

The 50,000-student threshold, reached within the platform's first two years, places the Academy among the fastest-growing private online-education ventures in the country. The Scottsdale headquarters, opened this year, brings production, editorial, and executive functions together in the Valley.

Fuller has led the Academy's day-to-day operation since launch. Before the Academy, her career centered on long-form interviews with academics, physicians, and public figures, work that anticipated much of the platform's editorial approach.

The Fullers

The Fullers relocated to Scottsdale over the last year. Their arrival adds to a growing group of founders and executives who have moved into Scottsdale and Paradise Valley in the last two seasons, drawn by climate, community, and an Arizona business environment friendly to fast-growing companies.

Jordan Fuller has kept a lower public profile than his wife or father-in-law. Their fourth child will join a household already busy with three young children.
